The football team isn’t the only Bruin squad showing off new duds this week. The UCLA Women’s Soccer team hinted at their new uniforms that they’ll get to show off in the 2017 season.

The UCLA Women’s Soccer Bruins to show off their brand new threads in a twitter posting on Tuesday. Freshman defender Karina Rodriguez (pictured wearing number eight) and red-shirt sophomore forward/midfielder Anika Rodriguez (wearing number 7) were front and center in the picture that has been retweeted almost 60 times.

The sisters get a chance to show off what Under Armour is doing not just for UCLA Football but for all UCLA athletics. The uniforms in their entirety have yet to be revealed but what we can assume are the home uniforms are clean, power blue with white trim.

Keeping in line with what we’ve seen so far from Under Armour, there seems to be a trending movement towards tradition, simplicity and execution when it comes to the new UCLA Women’s Soccer kits.

We can see above the Under Armour logo is prominently displayed but is in good taste and in this writer’s personal opinion is well placed on the socks to break up what could have been a monochromatic bottom portion of the kit.

The 2016 season was a rousing success capped by a stinging loss by penalty kicks to the WVU Mountaineers in the national championship. The Bruins dominated opponents to finish the season with an overall record of 15-5-2 and a conference record of 7-3-1.

The UCLA Women’s Soccer team is in a great position for another deep run with plenty of returning talent like Anika Rodriguez and head coach Amanda Cromwell. The Bruins kick off their season at home in Drake Stadium against Canada FISU on August 11.

While we haven’t seen any of the other kits these Bruins could be sporting once the season kicks off, it’s clear that the new uniforms are going to be the talk of the town next year to go along with some stellar play.
