Former UCLA Basketball player Lonzo Ball is already collecting hardware as a pro as he wins the NBA Summer League MVP. Later that night, the Los Angeles Lakers won the Summer League Championship.
BOOM! Lonzo Ball has landed, ladies and gentlemen. The former UCLA Basketball player is already making an impact as a professional ball player as he won the 2017 NBA Summer League MVP.

Along with the Summer League Championship Game festivities, the Los Angeles Lakers’ new hope was given the award after he averaged 16.3 points, 9.3 assists and 7.7 rebounds in six games.
Along with two triple-doubles, Ball also had a 36-point game against the Philadelphia 76ers. In his third game of the summer, Ball showed Las Vegas that he was ready for the big time as he shot 54.5% from the field.
This was the most watched Summer League in NBA history, and Lonzo Ball is the reason why. This was the perfect ending to the perfect start for the projected superstar. But that was not all.
Though he sat out the final game of the summer, Ball’s new team the Los Angeles Lakers (6-2) defeated the Portland Trailblazers (5-3) 110-98 to win the NBA Sumer League Championship. Kyle Kuzma led the charge as he finished the night with 30 points and 10 rebounds.
And not to be left out, another former UCLA Basketball player made an impact for the Lakers during the summer as forward Travis Wear finished the Summer League with 7.9 ppg, 3.6 rpg and 2.4 apg. During the Championship Game, Wear finished with 10 points.
