With UCLA and Under Armour launching their 15-year deal at midnight on July 1, fans got to see the new products for the first time, with mixed reactions.

They are finally here! Under Armour has landed at UCLA and the biggest apparel deal in NCAA history has begun.

UA and UCLA have rolled out several new elements in regards to the deal and Bruin fans are getting their first taste of what the new UCLA provider has up its sleeve.

But with that, reactions have been both positive and negative as Under Armour is not only presenting a new approach to UCLA Athletics, but also re-shaping tradition.

Under Armour is doing things a little differently and that even means breaking from tradition. Everyone had a lot if hot takes, specifically, on the new “B”. The logo that is similar to that of the Boston Red Sox has always been an alternate logo, but that has changed as UA made one of their own.

There was also concern about the pricing of the new apparel. T-shirts, hat, sweatshirts are now all available to the public, but at a bit off a higher price that many are willing to pay for.

UCLA also did not reveal any uniforms, which was slightly deflating, though the actual release will be on July 15.

Whether you like the new products or not, they are here to stay. Hopefully Under Armour can provide more apparel that builds off of the great traditions at UCLA and brings new and exciting products to the Bruin fanbase, so we will see.
