At midnight on July 1, Under Armour officially became the apparel provider of the UCLA Bruins, launching the biggest deal in college sports history.
Under Armour is here and the next chapter in UCLA Athletics has begun. At midnight, UA officially took over as the provider of apparel for the UCLA Bruins, kicking off the biggest deal in college sports history. A $280 million deal to be exact.

UCLA has now begun a 15-year partnership with Under Armour, who replaces Adidas who has been the apparel provider since 1998.
According to UCLABruins.com, UCLA Athletic Director Dan Guerrero had this to say, “We are excited to officially embark upon this journey with Under Armour and to introduce a cohesive new branding initiative that will unite not only our teams, but also the entire UCLA family. As we look toward the future, Under Armour’s philosophy of innovation, its cutting-edge technology and its commitment to storytelling make it the perfect partner for UCLA. Together, we will go beyond great.”
So far, UA has already branded two UCLA logos and schemes in their official ‘brand guidelines’.
As you can see, the UCLA script has been cleaned up as the tail (which was normally occupied by “Bruins” or the team sport) is now gone. In addition, it looks as if Under Armour has gone with a dark shade of Blue for the Bruins, separating themselves from the traditional “powder blue”.
Under Armour has also made their UCLA products available through the Bruin Team Shop where fans can purchase non-jersey apparel. On July 15, at the Bruin Viewin’ event at the Rose Bowl, UCLA and Under Armor will reveal the new UCLA Football jerseys. It is unclear if other Bruin sports will have their new uniforms revealed at that time.
