UCLA Basketball: Bruins Annihilate Washington, Get 2nd Road Sweep

The UCLA Basketball team tore through Washington like tissue paper in a 41-point win as the Bruins got their second road sweep of the season.

It was not even close. The UCLA Basketball team got back to their offensive dominance as they annihilated Washington by 41 points.

We knew UCLA was a very good offensive team, but they completely exposed Washington for having absolutely no defense which allowed the Bruins to run away with this game.

Though defense has been an issue for UCLA, they really did not need any of it tonight as Washington shot 38.5% from the field. The Bruins had capitalized off of the Huskies woes and shot 60.6%.

The Bruins were in such a groove that four different players scored 20 points or more in this game.

Lonzo Ball (22 pts), Bryce Alford (21), TJ Leaf (20) and Aaron Holiday (20) had each made their mark on the game. Leaf had his 11th double-double of the season, Alford shot 5/8 from beyond the arc, Ball added 6 rebounds and 5 assists while Holiday had a game-high six assists.

Not only was this a statement win, but to get their second road sweep of the season helps them build momentum heading into the end of the regular season.

Unfortunately for Washington, this was a very bad loss and one that does not look good for Head Coach Lorenzo Romar who should be on the hot seat, if he is not already, after this result.

The Bruins seem to be clicking on all cylinders once again. Not only did they score over 100 for the 8th time this season, but this was the second largest margin of victory on the road in the history of UCLA Basketball.

Though we will give them a pass on defense for this game, because there really was no need for it, the Bruins should add that to their arsenal and make a late season push for the conference title. Especially after Arizona was destroyed by Oregon earlier today. The Bruins next play at home on Thursday against Oregon.
