The UCLA Basketball teams, both the women’s and men’s, officially added their 2017 commits who signed their National Letters of Intents today.

The UCLA Basketball teams have a few more Bruins on their squads, although they will not officially be with the team for another year. Today, the 2017 recruiting classes signed their NLIs and can now be called UCLA Bruins.

The men’s team hauled in a Top 5 recruiting class as they landed 5* PG Jaylen Hands, 4* PF Cody Riley, 4* C Jalen Hill and 3* SG LiAngelo Ball. With their recent commit Riley, the Bruins shot up to #1, but Arizona and Washington has passed them up since.

The Bruins could land a 5th commit for 2017 as it has been assumed that 5* SF Kris Wilkes is leaning toward the Bruins. That would seemingly put UCLA bacon top of the recruiting rankings. UCLA is also in the running for Gary Trent and Chuck O’Bannon, Jr.

The women’s team added forward Lauryn Miller and guards Kayla Owens and Chantel Horvat. According to UCLABruins.com, Miller is the #17 prospect in the 2017 class. Owens is 36th on the 2017 HoopGurlz rankings, with Horvat coming in at #15.

With both the women’s and men’s teams predicted to do well this season, it looks as though they will continue that success well past the 2016-17 season. Go Bruins!
