The last time the UCLA Football team played a home-and-home with Notre Dame, it did not go well, so the Bruins should schedule another series… and get their revenge!

There are some things you look back on in life that just make you cringe. One of those things, in regards to UCLA Football, is remembering the home-and-home series with Notre Dame a decade ago.

UCLA and Notre Dame, which has a small rivalry in basketball, has nothing to do with each other in football. It seemed like this could be a new and exciting series, but it kind of fell short of expectations. At least the second game did.

UCLA and Notre Dame met during the 2006 season at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, IN for the first time since 1964. The year after, they would meet at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. It would be Notre Dame’s second visit to the Rose Bowl ever after defeating Stanford back in the 1925 Rose Bowl Game.

The 2006 game in South Bend was much anticipated, but the end was nothing less than deflating for UCLA fans. The 2007 game was even more painful seeing as how both teams were set up heading into that game.

We all know that UCLA lost both games, but it was the way in which they lost that makes it a very, very bitter memory to look back on.

That is why UCLA should schedule another home-and-home series with Notre Dame. Times have changed and now it’s time for some payback!
