UCLA Football Recruiting: Bruin Commits and Prosepcts Shine at The Opening

Several UCLA Football Commits and prospects impressed at Nike’s The Opening over the weekend.

This past weekend, Nike hosted The Opening in Beaverton, Oregon. The Opening is a four-day event that brings the best high school football prospects from around the nation together to battle it out in a series of skill competitions.

Over the last four days, several UCLA Football commits and prospects displayed their skills for the world to see. Some shined brighter than others and that is good for UCLA as one Bruin commit made a huge impact.

UCLA commit Jaelan Phillips, a 5-star defensive end, was named to The Opening’s Final 5 Linemen, an MVP group, of sorts. That, I can guarantee you, put a smile on the face of UCLA Football fans that love defense.

But he was not alone in turning heads. UCLA targets Jack Sears, Najee Harris and Thomas Graham, Jr. were a few others that were lighting things up at the weekend event.
