UCLA Football Recruiting: Brandon Burton Reveals His Commitment Via Bleacher Report Before ESPN

UCLA Football commit Brandon Burton spurned ESPN to announce his commitment to UCLA Football with a paintball-themed video released by Bleacher Report.

National Signing Day is a funny thing. It is a day in which high school football players get to announce to the world their landing spots for college, but lately, there has been a bit of innovation involved.

In recent years, recruits have found interesting ways to announce their decisions. For example, last week, UCLA got a commitment from 4-star wide receiver Damian Alloway via video released by Bleacher Report.

The same thing happened today as Brandon Burton gave a creative take on announcing his commitment as he also released a video through Bleacher Report.

The funny thing about his commitment, is that he released the video shortly before he was to go on the Scott Van Pelt Show on ESPN to make his announcement official. Burton did make his announcement on the world wide sports leader, but it was already too late as Bruin fans already knew of his pledge to the Bruins.

Either way, it does not matter in the end who released the information as UCLA Football has another athlete in their 2016 recruiting class, especially a much needed defensive back. With his commitment, the Bruins now have three defensive backs set to ink their names on their national letters of intent to the Bruins.
