One of the best distributors in Bruin history is also the UCLA Basketball All-time leader in assists. Richardson was amazing when he had the ball. He was a great passer, he was fast and had a quick shot that was hard to defend.

Richardson played in the coach Walt Hazzard era at UCLA and made a name for himself early on. In his four years he made the All-Pac-10 team in his final three years. In his final two years he was UCLA Basketball’s Most Valuable Player.

In addition to that, Richarson was a good all-around player as he claimed the best defensive player honors twice in his time in Westwood.

Richardson spent 10 years in the NBA and played with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Indiana Pacers and finished with the Los Angeles Clippers.
