5. Utah at UCLA, 30-28 (2014)

UCLA went into Salt Lake City the previous year and scrapped with an up-and-coming Utah team that started 2014 4-0. The Utes always seem to give the Bruins a hard time and this game was the epitome of that.

The Utah defense bullied both UCLA’s offensive line and Brett Hundley all game long. The result… 10 sacks for the Utes.

On offense, Utah starting quarterback Travis Wilson started the game but was pulled early in the game after a horrible start. His back-up, dual threat quarterback Kendall Thompson, came in and threw the Bruins off their game.

Unfortunately, all the Bruins efforts rested on a 50-yard field gold attempt by Ka’Imi Fairbairn who would have hit his career long. As you know, he missed as time wound down. Ugh.
