Isaako Savaiinaea

Savaiinaea is a guy that most Bruin fans have heard about, but have not seen much of. Last season he only appeared in 5 games with 8 tackles. In this young season, he has taken on a bigger role and already has more than doubled his tackles in these first three games with 19.

Last Saturday, he came in to replace Kenny Young who was ejected for targeting and did very well filling in.

Now Young is another guy that you seemingly cannot replace, but Savaiinaea did one hell of a job as he led the Bruins with 10 tackles in the game.

If you saw the game, you know what I’m talking about when I say Savaiinaea was everywhere. He seemed just as active as Myles Jack and went above and beyond in a game in which the Bruins defense really needed to step up to salvage that contest.

With Jack now out, Savaiinaea will be essential to the defensive midfield.
