Ishmael Adams

Adams was suspended indefinitely the week before UCLA’s season opener due to an arrest. • Honestly, his return couldn’t come at a better time. Just hours before Jack had injured his knee, UCLA announced that Adams would be back. Unfortunately, that also came with the news that Fabian Moreau would be out for the season as well.

Now it was said that Adams could possibly be the starting nickelback, though Marcus Rios landed that starting spot before the season. With Moreau out, that would push Adams over to the corner.

But now, putting everything into perspective, it appears as though Adams may be the primary guy to fill-in for Myles Jack as both players have had extensive time in that hybrid linebacker/defensive back spot. Whatever the coaches decide to do with Adams, expect his talent and experience to shine through with Jack out.
