The UCLA Football Defensive Predictions

“The defense will be in the Top 5 in the nation in total defense and scoring defense. And rushing defense. And passing defense.” – Mike W.R.

I love what new Defensive Coordinator Tom Bradley has brought to this defense which is already fully stocked with talent that goes 2 or 3 deep at every position. If Bradley can get his former Penn State team in the top of every defensive category, then it will be done at UCLA.

“Myles Jack will score more touchdowns than Adoree Jackson of USC.” -Jake Merrifield

Is this not a given? Myles Jack has been playing on the offensive side of the ball every year he has been with the Bruins and takes on a bigger load than the Trojan two-way player. Adoree Jackson is a trend as a DB/WR. Which is why I will add that Jack will be up 5 TDs in Jackson for the season.

Deon Hollins finishes in the Top 3 in the nation in sacks.” -Michael Hanna

This is not a prediction. This is stone cold truth. Many of you heard of Deon Hollins from last season where he blew up onto the scene late in the year. Well this year he starts strong right from the get-go and you WILL be amazed.

“UCLA defensive backs will have six INTS in one game, again.” – Mike W.R.

UCLA already has a six interception game. It was at Utah in 2013. Though it will not be against Utah this year, the Bruin secondary will get it done in another game. USC, perhaps?

Eddie Vanderdoes wins the Piesman Award.” -Nathan E.

I did not know this was a thing, but thankfully I have a solid crew of writers that catches things I miss. Because of that Eddie Vanderdoes WILL win the Piesman Award and quite possibly get a pie endorsement deal (when he leaves UCLA, of course).
