California Golden Bears as Green Day

The Berkeley punk scene had a lot of good punk bands start in East Bay and one of the most famous is Green Day. Though they may not be the first or the most punk rock, they definitely made some waves in their day. Other than the paradox  that Green Day is one of the most popular “punk” bands on the planet and Cal is trying to crawl out of football mediocrity, the two seem synonymous with each other (Sather Tower graces the cover of Green Day’s album “Dookie”).

Now if only head coach

Sonny Dykes

has a

longview

for success, Cal will be fine. Only an

American Idiot

would think otherwise.
