5. UCLA Women’s Volleyball
USC 0 – UCLA 3, Regular Season
This victory was special for several reasons. Not only was it Women’s Volleyball coach Michael Sealy‘s 100th win as a head coach, but the #20 Bruins went into the Galen Center as a huge underdog to the #9 USC Women’s Volleyball team.
Led by senior Karsta Lowe and her 22 kills, the UCLA Women’s Volleyball team swept the heavily-favored Trojans in three games on their home court 25-23, 25-13, 27-25.
On top of that, it was the seventh win in a row for the Bruins as they started Pac-12 Conference play. What was even sweeter was that the Bruins once again beat the Trojans 3-2 at Pauley Pavilion to end the regular season two months later.
