Senior closer David Berg was drafted in the sixth round by the Chicago Cubs. Cubs brass Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer know value, and they’re confident that they will get a deal signed with Berg, who as a graduating senior lacks negotiating leverage. Berg’s ‘frisbee slider’ has drawn comparisons with Pat Neshek and Chad Bradford.
