2. David Shaw, Stanford Cardinal

Record: 42-12 at Stanford, 42-12 overall

Just because David Shaw had one down year in his tenure at Stanford does not mean that he is out of the running for the best coach in the conference. Not even close. Though the Cardinal stumbled early in 2014, they ended strong and made a respectable season out of a nearly tragic one. Still, they did lose the one game that counted and that was a bad loss to division rival Oregon. Because of that, Shaw occupies our #2 spot.

The interesting thing here will be if Shaw can coach up his team that lost a ton of guys to the NFL Draft, but like always, he has several young guys committed to play at Stanford and with their coaching and development, the Cardinal will continue to do well under Shaw.
