UCLA Football, To Scrimmage Or Not To Scrimmage
Spring Showcase. Spring Game. Glorified Practice. This event has many names simply because it is more than the offense going against the defense in a simulated game environment. Last year at the Spring Showcase at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, California, the team was split into the Blue Team and the White team and went at it for four quarters.
This year, it will be get more a of large (glorified) practice more than anything. Though we are bound to see several 11-on-11 scrimmage-type plays, we are also going to see the players in individual/group workouts. Now that may not be your thing, especially if you are expecting a football game, but there are some exciting aspects of viewing a live practice.
