The Back-up Running Backs

Nate Starks vs. Craig Lee Vs. Steven Manfro

There is no secret that Paul Perkins will be the #1 guy. You do not have the top returning rusher in the conference battle for a starting role. Perkins has the #1 spot, which leaves us to wonder, who will be the #2 RB?

Right now it seems to be Nate Starks. Last week head coach Jim Mora said that Starks is the back-up but that “there is a great competition.” With that being said, it still seems wide open , especially with the apparent emergence of Craig Lee.

But then there is also Steven Manfro who has three years of experience, but is also trying to recollect his game after being out all of last season with an ACL injury.
