BOOM! 4-Star Guard Josh Wariboko Commits To UCLA

facebooktwitterreddit

This is a BIG BOOM! UCLA football just got a whole lot larger with a commitment from the top prospect in the state of Oklahoma, 4-star offensive guard

Josh Wariboko

. The Casady School product out of Oklahoma City had been previously committed to

Oklahoma,

but opened up his recruiting back in April while still keeping the Sooners in the mix with

Ohio State

and

UCLA

. Well it looks like the Bruins get the grand prize as Wariboko is wandering westward!

The first thing you notice about Wariboko is his size and speed. He is 6’3″, 305 lbs. and can really move for a lineman which makes him very dangerous at his position. Not only does he have good lateral movement and a strong pushback, he also has superb all-around blocking skills.

This not just a great commitment individually, but when you add him with the rest of the recruits in his position group that have committed to UCLA, it may very well be one of the best class of offensive linemen in the nation.

Along with Wariboko, the Bruins get Tevita Halalilo, Andre James, Fred Ulu-Perry and Zach Bateman who has already enrolled in Winter Quarter. Not only has UCLA added another line to their depth chart, but they have locked up a great crop of young men that have enough talent to battle for a chance to play right away. Although that will have to determined sometime between now and fall camp as the Bruins are already returning every starting lineman from last season (considering Connor McDermott replaced senior Malcolm Bunche half-way through the year).

Still, do not be surprised if any one of these players get some field time next year, especially with head coach Jim Mora not being afraid to play true freshmen.

Stay with Go Joe Bruin as we continue to bring you the latest information on UCLA Football’s National Signing Day!

Welcome to Westwood, Wariboko!
