Jim Mora: I Am Very Happy At UCLA

Aside from all the rumors and stories going around that once again Jim Mora was possibly in talks with with NFL teams, more specifically the New York Jets, we never actually heard from the Bruin head coach himself. That changed today when Mora went on the Rich Eisen Show to confirm that he is very happy at UCLA and that he has not made “overtures” to any NFL teams. You can breath easy Bruin fans… for now.

I am very happy at UCLA. -Jim Mora

You cannot fault the NFL for going after Mora as he has proved himself in the short time he has been in charge of the UCLA football program. When there is a coach doing great things, it will surely get the attention of professional teams looking to upgrade their current situation. But as of now, it seems that Mora is staying put.

This morning, Mora spoke out about his current situation with UCLA and NFL teams reaching out to him. As you can see in the video below, at the seven minutes mark, Eisen asks Mora about being linked to NFL teams.

"“I love coaching UCLA Bruins. I have not made any overtures towards any NFL teams, my agent hasn’t.” -Jim Mora"

Well that is good to know, especially hearing it from the man himself.

The Handshake

If you are interested, Mora also talks with Eisen about “the handshake” with Kansas State head coach Bill Snyder that stirred controversy at the end of the Alamo Bowl. For this segment, watch the video from the beginning.
