As some of you probably received a notification on your smartphone today, I also got word that UCLA head coach Jim Mora is considering offers from the NFL. Earlier today, I received that notification from my Bleacher Report app, linking to an article on Scout.com‘s UCLA site, BruinReportOnline.com. There was also a tweet the went out by BRO, stating Mora was going to be in New York very soon to interview for the NY Jets head coach position… and so the rumors begin.
Jim Mora will be in New York either today or tomorrow to interview for the Jets job, according to sources. http://t.co/kpASNrN1WD #UCLA.

But then this tweet came out from NFL & Jets columnist, Manish Mehta in regards to Mora:
Jets don't have any interview planned with Jim Mora. #nyj

We're now hearing that Jim Mora will not interview with the New York Jets. NFL teams are contacting Mora, but he now has no interest.

Though BRO has back tracked a little, and no fault to them as news and information like this changes at the drop of a hat, it does bring up the rumblings about Mora testing the NFL waters… again. Another Bleacher Report article confirmed that Mora was not meeting with the Jets, although…
Spoke to source w/knowledge of situation who said NYJ have interest in Jim Mora but he has NOT agreed to meet with them contrary to report

UCLA Bruins
So here we go again. Mora has proved himself to be a good coach that can get things done and that is attracted a lot of big time attention. Mora has previously had head coaching experience at Atlanta and Seattle, so it makes sense for a pro team to come after him. But it is not just one team. It is a lot, including the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland Raiders.
Though he may have suitors, Mora or UCLA or any other news source have yet confirmed anything. So is Mora actually looking around? And if so, why now? He has UCLA in a position to continue to do great things and with three children all in school in the L.A. area, it might be hard for him to relocate his family.
But coaching in the NFL is something all its own. Mora may be curious to see what that is right now and though news of the best coach to lead UCLA in a while might put a pit in your stomach, so far it is all chatter.
As of now, he is still a Bruin.
