In our third edition of ‘Who To Root For’ we examine Maryland Vs Stanford in the Foster Farms Bowl. Though not a lot is invested in the Maryland Terrapins for UCLA fans, it seems that the decision of who to root for lays with if you do or do not want Stanford to win. You know, the team that beat the Bruins in the last four attempts in the Jim Mora era.

UCLA Bruins
Stanford Football
You cannot deny how disciplined and awesome Stanford has been with their dedication to smash mouth football. Though the former back-to-back Pac-12 Champions had a down year, they still managed to be a thorn in several team’s sides, especially the Bruins.
But in this past season, every conference team beat up on each other. No one was above it, not even Oregon. That is part of what made the Pac-12 Conference, the Conference of Champions, one of the best conferences in the nation. But is it THE best conference?
In trying to prove that, it is great if every Pac-12 team wins their respective bowl game, even if Bruin fans are at odds with a certain conference team. A great reason to #BackThePac. Stanford is not only expected to win this game, but they will most definitely win. But is that enough?

Despite the fact that the Cardinal are two touchdown favorites, it does not change one small detail…
Stanford beat UCLA in the final game of the season which cost the Bruins the South Division and a shot at the Pac-12 title. Stanford has beat UCLA the last seven meetings. In regards to Maryland football, this is not about a Terrapin victory, it is about a Cardinal loss.
