  • In Episode 48 of the What’s Bruin Podcast, hosts Bill Shirley, Jake Merrifield and I talk mostly about the new Star Wars trailer, only to avoid talking about UCLA Football‘s last regular season game… because it hurts so much. Still, we manage to put our thoughts together and discuss ‘The Game That Was’ or more appropriately, the game that wasn’t, as the Bruins not only lost to Stanford 31-10, but lost a lot because of it. Somber, indeed.

But fear not dear listeners because we also talk about the silver linings in regards to what Bruin football has in store for themselves going forward. We then go over possible bowl destinations, what the team will look like going into next year and ask each other if their will be any coaching changes. In regards to the bowls, it is all speculation as we still have to wait for conference championships to crown a winner and see how the College Football Playoff committee sets up the four-team playoff and the four major non-playoff bowls before any of that can happen.

It is also that time of year when we start to transition the show to the basketball side of things as we start getting our UCLA hoop segments in order. And what a great way to start as we talk about the Bruins going 1-2 in the Battle 4 Atlantis, GOOD TIMES!!!

All of this and more in Episode 48 of the What’s Bruin Podacst, also available at Podomatic.com and on iTunes.

    Go Bruins!
