The UCLA Bruins (9-3, 6-3) have moved down seven spots to the #15 positioning in this week’s rankings for the College Football Playoffs. The Bruins lost big in a 31-10 smashing at the hands of the Stanford Cardinal (7-5, 5-4) last Friday at the Rose Bowl. With that, the Bruins hopes of a spot in the Pac-12 Championship Game and a potential trip to the first ever College Football Playoffs died

If UCLA did not lose, it is possible they could have moved into the #7 spot, or potentially #6, seeing as the College Football Playoff committee has seen the Bruins in a favorable light this year.
Still, #15 is a good spot for UCLA as it pertains to the pairing of teams in the other four non-playoff bowls. It is speculated that if Arizona loses big to Oregon, there is a chance the Bruins could slip into the Fiesta Bowl, seeing as the Bruins beat the Wildcats pretty bad in November.
