In Episode 45 of the What’s Bruin Podcast, hosts Bill Shirley (surely you can’t be serious?), Jake Merrifield and I get into The Game That Was as we saw a Washington Whoopin’. In this latest podcast, we dissect the UCLA Bruin‘s 44-30 win over the Washington Huskies as well as forgive Ka’imi Fairbairn (at least Bill does). In a season where the Bruins have had serious inconsistencies, it is nice to see that they are bringing it all together in the last few games and this win signifies that as UCLA had fantastic play on both offense and defense.
Speaking of “offense and defense”, Bill and Jake get into a friendly discussion (kind of) about the use of Myles Jack as a running back. Is he in there too much, too little or do you not care as long as UCLA is winning?
We then get into the broader spectrum of college football as we analyze both the Pac-12 and the national scene. In regards to the conference, we breakdown this coming weekend’s games (as UCLA is on a bye week) and tell you what needs to happen for the Bruins to make the Pac-12 Championship Game (here is a hint: Go Beavers!). We then breakdown the College Football Playoff Rankings as UCLA is up to #11. Is this a good thing for UCLA or our hopes getting too high? Find out!
Additionally, in What’s Going Down At The Morgan Center we talk about some Women’s Soccer and Men’s Water Pollo news as well as analyze the Men’s basketball team as they get set for their season opener on Friday. We then finish off with some local pro talk in the LA Sports Express. All of this and more in Episode 45 of the
