UCLA Women’s Soccer Gets The Overall #1 Seed In The NCAA Tournament, Play San Diego In The First Round

Your UCLA Women’s Soccer Team has not only gone undefeated this year with an 18-0-2 record while being ranked #1 the entire season, but is now the overall #1 seed in the 2014 NCAA Tournament! Almost a year after the Bruins captured their first National Championship in head coach Amanda Cromwell‘s first year, these women are going back with #OneGoal112! These Bruins are looking for UCLA’s 112th Championship and it all starts Friday.

Cromwell’s crew gets things started this Friday night at Drake Stadium at 7 p.m. PT against the University of San Diego Toreros who went 10-7-2 this season. If the Bruins win, they then play the winner of Central Connecticut State or Harvard. Also in UCLA’s bracket is conference mates Arizona State and crosstown rival USC, whom UCLA shutout 2-0 this past Friday night.

As for the Pac-12, they got a total of 9 teams making the tournament. Aside from the aforementioned UCLA, ASU and USC, the other conference teams are Arizona, Cal, Colorado, Washington State, #4 Washington and (overall 3rd) #1 Stanford.
