It was only a matter of time before UCLA struck. In the second half, Kylie McCarthy had netted two goals. The first was a thing of beauty as she dribbled around the Trojan defender and tight-rope walked the end line to get with in about ten feet to the left of the goalie. Once she was in that close, McCarthy blasted it to the left side to go up 1-0 at 78:44.
Less than ten minutes later she comes from the right side to and puts in an effortless goal that looked like the USC keeper had given up on. The Trojan defense was not playing consistent defense at all. At one point, defender Megan Oyster had dribbled up the middle of the field unbothered and blasted one wide to the right from 40 yards out.
The Bruins were once again fantastic it another strong showing.
#UCLAvsUSC Play of the Match goes to @UCLAWSoccer's Kylie McCarthy, who broke the ice with this close-range heater: http://t.co/vtmuOdMx3m
