Good day, y’all! Who is ready for a FOOTBALL GAME IN TEXAS? UCLA, that is who! With that, here the Go Joe Bruin Pregame Playlist, Texas Edition!

“That’ll Be The Day” – Buddy Holly and the Crickets

What would a game in Texas be without a native Texan being represented on our playlist. Here is one of the greatest pop stars from the Lone Star. It is perfect too, because if UCLA has a less-than-stellar game, this could be the day that many Bruin fans die.

“Galvanize” – Chemical Brothers

What better time than now than for UCLA to pull themselves up by their boot straps and have a complete game? Noene. UCLA needs to get their game plan in order and focus on the goal… another “W”.

“I Come From The Water” – Toadies

Here is a modern Texas rock band that just knows how to put the bounce in their boogie with some down home dirty rock and roll.

“Strange Times” – Black Keys

These are a little strange with UCLA as they cannot seem to put a whole effort on the field. Hopefully that changes today as they will be in front of everyone at Jerry World. And this song kicks butt.

“Ridin'” – Chamillionaire

You want some Texas hip-hop? Here is one of the more famous ones from the last decade. This was so popular, even “Werid Al”Yankovic parodied it.

“Sweet Dreams” – Eurythmics

The Bruins have big dreams for the year and if they do not pull it together soon, those dreams will be gone in a flash. So why not dance to one of the best synth-pop songs of the 80s?

“California Love” – 2Pac

UCLA messes with Texas. You can’t beat Cali.

“Pattern Against User” – At The Drive-In

The last time UCLA was in Texas, they beat Virginia Tech in the Sun Bowl in El Paso. Well here is an El Paso band that could get anyone fired up for anything. Too bad they could not fire themselves up to stay together.

“Sabotage” – Beastie Boys

So are the Bruins just toying with the world. These inconsistencies seem bit orchestrated. Or maybe they actually do have problems, either way, Texas may be walking into a trap. I’m telling y’all it’s sabotage!

“Gimme Some More” – Busta Rhymes

How about UCLA gives us some more cheers and less heart attacks?

“The Boys Are Back” – Dropkick Murphys

The Bruins are back in Texas and they are looking for trouble. And respect. And consistently. And a thorough game plan.

“Another One Bites The Dust” – Queen

Hopefully, at the end of the day, UCLA will have another “W” under their belt, hence using the great Queen song.
