12. Sonny Dykes, Cal

Seasons: 1, Last Year: 1-11, Overall: 1-11

Sonny Dykes knew he had a tough climb when he accepted the job in Berkeley. It got even harder when he lost an unbelievable amount of players to injury, so really, he has an incomplete. Winning only one game to an FCS team last season will not get you nominated for ‘Coach of the Year’ and it certainly does not show a lot of hope for the future. Luckily, this is a new season and Dykes will get to start fresh with guys that are healthy enough to run his system.

It will be interesting to see what Dykes does with a full squad, especially with returning quarterback Jared Goff who will be ready to take on the challenge with him. Until then, Dykes might have to weather the storm of the ferocious Pac-12 that is headed their way. If he can rattle off three wins this season, that should be a signal that the Golden Bears are heading in the right direction.
