Anthony Barr has been drafted by the Minnesota Vikings. With the 9th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Vikings are getting one hell of an outside linebacker. For UCLA, this is consecutive years they have had a player drafted in the 1st Round. Last year, Datone Jones was selected 26th by the Green Bay Packers.

Barr should fit in nicely with Minnesota’s style of play. They are getting a linebacker that can attack on and off the line with speed. He gets into the backfield quickly and has an eye for sacking quarterbacks or tackling running backs behind the line. Barr was a former RB that was converted to LB in Jim Mora’s system at UCLA, so he knows the running back’s mentality, which is huge advantage for him.

Here are some of his highlights as a Bruin, especially the one all UCLA fans love, the sacking of

Matt Barkley

in the 2012 rivalry game against

USC

. The Bruins went on to win, 38-28.

Congratulations, Mr. Barr. You are now a professional football player, GO BRUINS!
