So this Jim Mora guy just keeps getting better and better for UCLA football, huh?

A day after finding out Mora wouldn’t be talking to UCLA fans after the games — to prove he means business — Mora has decided to wow us yet again. This time, the action hits a little closer to home in our hearts while still making him seem business-only.

Recently, Edward Lewis at Bruin Sports Report said Mora wouldn’t allow South Cal (USC) commits attend UCLA games. From his Twitter:

This is incredible. It’s like Jim Mora was the gift that we all hated when we received it but have grown to love and now it won’t stop giving.

Mora’s done fabulous work in separating his crew from the dummies across town, while also seeming as if he is still strictly business. He realizes that, as coach of the UCLA football program, South Cal will forever be a part of his business — thanks to the troll-y Los Angeles media and the skeevy business of recruiting — and he’s taking a smart, calculated approach. Once again, we approve.

Good on ya, Jim Mora. Beat Nebraska.

UPDATE (Sept. 7, 2012. 3:04 p.m.): According to FanSided College sources, this may not be a real thing.

FanSided’s college division received a couple of tips saying that multiple USC commits would indeed be up for visits and could even attend the UCLA game against Nebraska. Here’s the first tweet:

Although to be fair, Edward Lewis never said that USC commits would not be “allowed” anywhere, but merely that they wouldn’t be allowed to attend games for free.

Here’s another tweet from the FanSided College mothership stating that Sebastian LaRue would be visiting UCLA:

Of course, again, Lewis never said that UCLA wouldn’t allow USC commits to visit. That said, the sources have re-iterated to me and our USC blog, Reign of Troy, that multiple USC commits would be at the Rose Bowl for UCLA’s game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated, because this has been a bit of a wild story. If Edward Lewis’ previous tweet was indeed false, then all our love for Jim Mora was a tad unwarranted. At the same time, Mora can also be said to have not caring what fans think and getting the best recruits possible, commitment be damned.

If not, we can go back to thinking Mora is a god.
