We’re now seven days before UCLA’s football squad starts the 2012 season off against Rice in Houston. Anticipation is building from Bruins fans and everyone is incredibly impatient to see just how good Jim Mora has made this team.
Of course, this means we’re in the dog days before the football season starts. And, as a result, there’s literally nothing new going on.
We’ve already covered every single team on UCLA’s schedule via our previews, and our preview against Rice is here. We’ve even given a blueprint that UCLA can use to be successful. Hell, we’ve even already put up our expectations for these Bruins.
It’s just time for the actual games to be played, though. This has been nearly a nine-month offseason with absolutely nothing to write about but speculation and observations as to how this team might be.
We’re ready to see Jim Mora’s plans and preparation at work. We can’t preview this season more than we already have, and we can’t be more excited/nervous about the 2012 campaign than we already are.
There is now a 168-hour waiting period between now and the start of Bruin football, and yes, we’re counting down to the damn seconds.
And that’s all we’ll be doing, it seems. Any news out of UCLA with regards to football will be bad news, we assume, since all the possibilities for good news relies solely on recruiting, which has died down a bit now that the team is preparing for the season.
We got nothing snarky or silly to say. We’re just ready for some football.
