The UCLA Football team can often be polarizing, especially with their fans, so Go Joe Bruin takes a look at two possible outcomes for the 2017 season as seen through the eyes of optimistic and pessimistic Bruin supporters.

It is hard being a UCLA Football fan. On one hand, you want to see the greatness that can come from your Bruin team, and on the other hand, you sometimes have to deal with a bad situation, but not always.

Still, it does not take away from the fact that Bruin fans see things differently and often on opposite sides of the playing field, no pun intended.

So with that, Go Joe Bruin takes a look at a hypothetical conversation between an optimistic Bruin fan and a pessimistic Bruin fan, just to see what they think will occur with the Bruins this fall. So without further ado, a UCLA Football argument in 12 parts.

UCLA Football vs Texas A&M, September 3 (Sunday)

Optimist Bruin: This is going to be a great start to the season! The Bruins have Sunday all to themselves and Josh Rosen is going to start the re-revolution! I can already smell a 10-win season. Win.

Pessimist Bruin: Are you kidding? The Aggies outlasted the Bruins in 2016 and UCLA is no better than they were under Kennedy Polamalu. Fire Mora. End the season now. Loss.

UCLA vs Hawai’i, September 9

Optimist: We have a cupcake, no disrespect to the Rainbow Warriors, which means this Bruins team will destroy Hawai’i. UCLA should win by 30! Win.

Pessimist: Ugh. Calm down snowflake! UCLA will win but barely. Remember UNLV last year? I thought that was rough. It will be similar. UCLA by two. Win.

Optimist: Name calling huh? Do you work for that other UCLA site? Or the Trump Administration?

Pessimist: *Mumbles under their breath* Whatever.

UCLA at Memphis, September 16

Pessimist: Me first. LOSS! Memphis is going to be tough at home and Mora will not have this team ready for the road, let alone the season. Let me guess, you pick them to win? Loss.

Optimist: Seeing as I am level-headed, I think this will be a tough game, but UCLA has the talent and coaching and will win by a touchdown. Win.

Pessimist: Are you on drugs? There is no way UCLA wins. They lose because of bad last-second play calling. And I bet they have at least 5 false starts.

Optimist: You need to switch to decaf. And no, I’m not on drugs. Currently.
