The #4 UCLA Women’s Basketball team had a statement win behind a statement performance from Jordin Canada who broke a single-game assists record in win over #13 Boise State.

Well it looks like the UCLA Women’s Basketball team came ready to dance as they waltzed Boise State right out of Pauley Pavilion by a beautifully orchestrated display from junior Jordin Canada.

With Westwood as one of the backdrops to the first and second rounds of the 2017 NCAA Women’s Tournament, the Bruins put on a show led by Canada’s 16 assists which tied a school record.

It was also the largest margin of victory the Bruins have posted in the NCAA Tournament. On top of that, she dropped 15 points, grabbed 5 boards and had 4 steals.

Kennedy Burke was another Bruin that hit her stride as she also logged a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. That is in addition to her 3 blocks and 3 steals. Monique Billings nearly had herself another double-double with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Nicole Kornet got in on the bloodletting as she drilled 4/8 from behind the arc, leading up to her 14 points.

The Bruins were in control from the start and led at halftime 44-27. Boise State stepped it up in the 3rd quarter, but by the fourth, the Bruins had shut down Boise State’s chances to move on in the tournament as they only allowed 9 points in the final frame.
