The UCLA Women’s Basketball team obliterated Washington State 67-48 on Senior Day, which also saw Monique Billings tie a huge record.

Just two days after the UCLA Women’s Basketball team shocked #9 Washington with a win on Friday night, the Bruins went right back to work on Sunday morning as they smacked around the Washington State Cougars.

This win marked several accomplishments for the Bruins. First off, with the victory over Wazzu, the Bruins remain in the top four of the conference, which would give them first round bye in the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament. UCLA is currently 3 games out of first place with only two games remaining at the Arizona schools.

Secondly, this win topped off a perfect home record in the regular season for the Bruins. This year, Head Coach Cori Close has led her team to a stellar 14-0 record at Pauley Pavilion. “8 Clap” to that!

Third, junior forward Monique Billings tied a single-game rebounding record as she pulled down 25 against the Cougars. She shares the record with former Bruins Denise Curry and Natalie Williams. On top of that, Billings added 16 points for her eighth double-double of the season.

Lastly, UCLA honored their departing players on Senior Night as Kari Korver, Dominique Williams and Nicole Kornet all played their final regular season game at Pauley Pavilion.

Next: UCLA Takes Down #9 Washington

It was a huge game for the Bruins and one that should have them move up from their #18 AP Top 25 ranking from last week, especially after an impressive win over #9 Washington.
