UCLA Football vs. Washington State: A Storm to Hit the Pacific Northwest

It is going to be a game that belongs to the elements as a storm is about to hit the Pacific Northwest which will bring a lot of rain and winds to Pullman where the UCLA Football team is set to play Washington State.

If you thought there was going to be a lot of action between the Washington State (3-2, 2-0) and UCLA Football (3-3, 1-2) teams a week ago, well I bet you did not imagine it with a 90% chance of rain and 15 mile per hour winds.

Current weather reports have a “tropically charged system”, which originated from a typhoon in the Pacific, on its way to the state of Washington. Though the brunt of the storm will hit the coast, Eastern Washington will get their fair share of inclement weather.

, Pullman, Washington is expected to have a low of 48 degrees at night (kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. PT), winds at 17 mph (with possible gusts up to 40 mph) and an abundance of rain.

This will be the UCLA Football team’s first battle with nature this season. Not only will the conditions be rough, but it has the potential to make for sloppy play on the field.

Because of the uncertainty of the weather, it throws another wrench into the system for the Bruins. UCLA is struggling to get their offense on the right track as they cannot formulate a proper run game and are having trouble catching balls (the rain will not help this).

Luckily, Washington State has to play in the same elements. Though they are more familiar with this type of weather, the wind and rain that is expected to hit Pullman will have an effect on both teams.
