That UCLA Women’s basketball team lose to Oregon State 69-57 in the Pac-12 Championship Game.

It has been an adventurous season for the #12 UCLA Women’s Basketball team, unfortunately the Bruins finished the Pac-12 Tournament on a down note after losing to regular season champion #9 Oregon State.

Despite being down by 27 at halftime, the Bruins fought their way back in the second half to make the game respectable. Unfortunately, the Beavers had such a substantial lead that the UCLA could not catch them and thusly took the Pac-12 Tournament Championship.

The UCLA Women’s Basketball team had an incredible run in the tournament as they first defeated Arizona on Friday, 72-51. Last night, Bruins needed a three pointer to force overtime and eventually get the 73-67 win against a pesky California Golden Bears team.

Despite trailing in that game, Kari Korver, who was cold most of the contest, hit a key three-pointer with 6.3 seconds left in regulation to keep UCLA’s hopes alive.

Today, the Bruins once again started slow against the Oregon State Beavers. Though they were only down by three very early, Oregon State put on a clinic and raced ahead of the Bruins for the massive halftime lead.

Even with this defeat, one Bruin received a very important honor as Sophomore guard Jordin Canada was named to the Pac-12 All-Tournament Team.

Despite the loss, the UCLA Women’s Basketball team are still in good position for the NCAA Tournament which starts Friday, March 18.

Currenty, ESPN’s Bracketology has the Bruins as a #2 seed in the Bridgeport Regional and starting the first two rounds in Los Angeles.
