The UCLA Basketball team loses to #9 Oregon 76-68 in a game were they were in control, but as always, the Bruins let this one slip away.
The UCLA Basketball team was up by 10 points in the first half. The Bruins were up by five at halftime. UCLA lost to Oregon by eight.

Personally, I hate being right in these instances. In my prediction for this game, I chose Oregon to win 78-68. I was hoping that I would be wrong especially when the Bruins went on a massive run in the first half.
I was not. As expected, the Bruins went away from what worked in the first half and like clockwork, Oregon, as they do, shot their way back into the game and completely over took UCLA.
The Bruins had defense in the first half and then they did not. They played offense with purpose in the first half and then they did not. Once again, inconsistency was the name of the UCLA Basketball game.
It also did not help that Pauley Pavilion was no where near full. Sure, it could be blamed that it was a 6pm game on a Wednesday, but as we saw last week when the Bruins went up to Cal, a fanbase can come out in droves for a 6pm contest.
The big difference: Cal is a contender and UCLA is a pretender. The reason for this… Steve Alford.
Once again he was not able to make changes to match the intensity of Oregon and once again he had UCLA Basketball come out with a loss.
Because of that, his seat just got that much hotter and fans are letting it be known that enough is enough. If you take a look at UCLA Basketball threads with online forums, Twitter and Facebook, you can see the frustration with fans.

The question is, will the UCLA Athletic Department take action against Alford for making the basketball program irrelevant or will Bruin fans have to suffer through another season (or more) of this uninspired basketball?
