UCLA Women’s Water Polo Seeks Championship #12 In The NCAA Tournament

The #1 ranked UCLA Women’s Water Polo team begins their march to a 12th National Championship on Friday as they will be participating in the 3-day, 8-team NCAA Tournament which will be hosted by Stanford at the Avery Aquatic Center.

The Bruins are 24-2 up to this point as they are coming off of a victory in the Championship Game of the MPSF Confernce Tournament where the Bruins beat Cal 9-8.

The Bruins will be lead by junior Rachel Nattal who is the team’s top goal scorer with 52. She will be accompanied by the hot hands of Alys Williams, Emily Donahoe and McKenzie Barr who have all recorded over 30 goals this season.

Here are the first round match-ups (all times PT):

Game 1: Princeton vs Stanford, 12 p.m.

Game 2: USC vs Hawaii, 1:45 p.m.

Game 3: UC Irvine vs Cal, 5:15 p.m.

Game 4: UCLA vs UCSD, 3:30 p.m.

Semifinal Round (Sat.): Princeton/Stanford winner vs USC/Hawaii winner, 6:30 p.m.

UC Irvine/Cal winner vs UCLA/UCSD winner, 8:15 p.m.

Championship Game: Sunday, 8:30 p.m.
