UCLA Gymnastics: Samantha Peszek Wins Balance Beam and All-Around Titles At The NCAA Championships

UCLA Gymnastics senior Samantha Peszek is your 2015 Balance Beam Champion! Oh and that is not all… she is also your 2015 All-Around Champion, sharing the title with Kytra Hunter of Florida. That is right Ladies and Gentlemen, Peszek leaves UCLA the same way she entered… a Champion!

This weekend at the NCAA Championships in Fort Forth, Texas, Peszek claimed her second and third titles as a Bruin. Her freshman year, she won her first collegiate title as the 2011 Balance Beam Champion.

Her total of three individual championships are in addition to her 2008 Olympic silver medal and 2007 World Championship gold medal. Needless to say, she is accustomed to winning.

On Saturday, Peszek had a score of 39.600 to tie for first place in the All-Around events. On Sunday, she claimed sole position of first with a score of 9.95.

Though UCLA Gymnastics as a team had an unfortunate end to their journey to the NCAA Championships, taking sixth place in the semi-finals, Peszek was able to shine bright for the Bruins and end the the season on a high note.
