UCLA Bruins
Things were a little lighter for UCLA football on Day 10 of Spring Practice. There was not much news about the big quarterback competition and we will probably not get anything out of UCLA about the situation until after this weekend as Saturday’s practice is closed. So there is that.
But for those that are interested, Jerry Neuheisel and Asiantii Woulard were in control of the first and second-team offenses and continued to have good days. There were a few tidbits about practice from different sources, but for the most part it was pretty low-key. That is probably a good thing as several Bruins were out with a few injuries.
There might not have been lot information out of practice, but there was plenty to tweet about. A few UCLA reports gave their take on some individual performances today.

Yarber Talks Receivers
Receivers coach Eric Yarber talked to the media after practice. Click HERE to view the video by Jack Wang of InsideSoCal.com. Here are a few take aways of what he said:
- Outside receivers: He refers to Jordan Payton as “Mr. Reliable”. He also talked about how Logan Sweet, Alex Van Dyke, Kenny Walker and Jordan Lasley have “taken big steps”.
- Inside receivers: Devin Fuller and Mossi Johnson have impressed him. Thomas Duarte improved his blocking. He also thinks Aaron Sharp will be a big time player.
- Glad to have a veteran group “that knows what Coach Mora wants from them.”
- Van Dyke has stronger legs which will help with his change of direction. He credits coach Sal Alosi for his conditioning.
- He is not having fighting on the team, at all.
Injury Info
Alex Van Dyke was out with a hamstring issue. According to Chris Foster of the LA Times, Simon Goines “tweaked his leg”, but should be back shortly. Priest Willis has been out with a shoulder injury. Craig Lee has a “minor issue with his leg. Mossi Johnson is also recovering from a leg injury. All are expected to return very soon.
