UCLA Bruins
With UCLA Basketball playing their final game of the season in the NCAA Tournament, it also means that we are seeing the end of another run. The Sweet Sixteen loss to Gonzaga was also the final game for long-time football and basketball announcer Chris Roberts who is retiring after 20 years of calling Bruin games.
The long-time “Voice of the Bruins” talks to Petros Papadakis and Matt “Money” Smith of The Petros and Money Show on AM 570 LA Sports this past week and discussed what it was like his final season.
The thirteen minute interview covers several topics from as:
-Calling the football team’s win over Kansas State in the Alamo Bowl and basketball’s Sweet Sixteen loss.
-His connection to this year’s basketball team.
-Hanging the 1995 banner.
-What he will do now and will he ever get back into announcing.
-His favorite announcing partner.
-Matt Smith candidacy to replace him.
