Though this season did not meet expectations for the Bruins, they now have a chance once again prove themselves as they look to make some noise in the WNIT. UCLA finished with a 13-18 record and took sixth place in conference. The Bruins ended the season in the Pac-12 Tournament by mauling Arizona 80-62 in their first round match-up, yet lost 67-62 in a very close game in the the quarter-finals to #14 Stanford.
As for CSU Bakersfield, they are ending their season second in the Western Athletic Conference. The Roadrunners went 23-8 this season. Though they lost in their second game of the WAC Tournament, they have been very efficient lately. That loss broke an 8-game win streak in which CSU Bakersfield won by a margin of 13.3 points.
Needless to say, it will be a battle. Good luck to UCLA, head coach Cori Close and…
