Preseason Coaches Poll Released, UCLA Not Ranked But Receiving Votes

Yesterday the Preseason Coaches Poll came out, listing the expected Top 25 basketball teams in America. Your UCLA Bruins, are not one of them, but they did receive votes and with that are essentially the 33rd best team (projected) in the country. Now we know polls do not mean much, especially in the preseason (UCLA football fans know that all too well), but it does give a good gauge to what the college basketball landscape will look like for the up coming year. Here is the poll in its entirety.

Arizona is the only Pac-12 ranked in the Top 25, though they are expected to be one of the better teams in the country as they came in at #2. In all, there were six Pac-12 Conference basketball teams getting votes and from what the poll indicates, the top of the conference, in order, will look like this: Arizona, Stanford, Utah, UCLA, Oregon and Colorado.

In addition, UCLA released their full schedule a few weeks ago and it looks as though they have some pretty tough competition in the season ahead.

UCLA will have their first game, albeit exhibition, on Halloween night, October 31 against Azusa Pacific.
