So, how was your first full week with UCLA sports? Women’s Soccer is having a ball, while Men’s Soccer starts the season on the road. Women’s Volleyball starts with a couple of wins and then runs into a Lion. Cross Country gets dark at the Twilight Classic and a little thing called football begins. Here are the latest goings-on of UCLA Athletics in Westwood Rewind: This Is Only The Beginning!

Women’s Soccer

Okay, if you have not yet checked out the reigning champions, go ahead and do yourself a favor and get down to Drake Stadium next time they play there or watch them on the Pac-12 Network. If you cannot do either, I’ll just tell you this, you are missing out on greatness. If you want a reason to get into soccer, watch this team. They are fast, they are great passers and they are lethal on the attack. Anyway, here is what happened with them:

Men’s Soccer

…And if you want another reason to get into soccer, you have to watch the Men’s team. Senior Leo Stolz is leading the way for this team to do some damage this season. They started on the road, but will be back in Westwood for your viewing pleasure September 12.

Cross Country

There was yet another Bruin squad starting their season. The Women and Men of Cross Country got things going in Sparks, Nevada for the Nature’s Bakery Nevada Twilight Classic.

Women’s Volleyball

The Women’s Volleyball team got their season going with two impressive wins. Then they ran into the Loyola Marymount Lions.

Football

It has begun (pause for cheering), but not without a televised intro on PAc-12 Network’s ‘The Drive’. Oh yeah, and UCLA won.
