We are BACK, Ladies and Gentlemen! The 2014-15 athletic year is upon us! UCLA Athletics have returned from a long summer, but everything is normal again, we will be okay! Today marks the first contest for UCLA as the #1 ranked National Champion Women’s Soccer team starts their title defense… with a friendly exhibition. Oh it is GREAT to be a Bruin!

The Bruins get the year started as they take on the #9 Texas A&M Aggies in the North Athletic Field on the campus of UCLA at 5 p.m. PT. Can the Bruins make it two titles in a row behind 2nd year Head Coach Amanda Cromwell? Go Joe Bruin says, “OH YEAH!

  • On Tuesday, the #4 ranked Men’s Soccer team get their season going with an exhibition against Nebraska Omaha at 4 p.m at the North Athletic Field. These Bruins are looking to claim that #1 spot and avenge their early exit front he NCAA Tournament last year. Don’t you just hate penalty kicks? Both Women’s and Men’s games will have audio broadcast through UCLABruins.com.

    Three days later on Friday, August 22, Women’s Soccer gets serious as they welcome Maryland to Westwood for their official season opener. That game will be at 7 p.m. and broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks.

    The next day, on Saturday, August 23, Women’s Volleyball gets their season going as they take on former Bruins in the Alumni Match which will be at 1 p.m. in the Wooden Center. And let us not forget Cross Country and Football, who have their first contests of the season on Friday, August 29 and Saturday, August 30, respectively. Like I said, it is good to be a Bruin!
