Yesterday, Tim Brando, TV personality, play-by-play man, SEC announcer and XM Radio Host, came out with several flattering predictions for the forthcoming college football season which included several nods to the UCLA Bruins. Brando had released a few predictions for the 2014, with the most eye-catching revelation of having Bruin’s football team ranked #1 in his pre-season poll.

Along with the #1 ranking, the Bruins were given more praise for the end of the season. Not only did Brando pick the Bruins as one of the best teams in the nation to start the season, but he has UCLA as one of the four best to finish the season. His selections for the first College Football Playoffs has UCLA taking on the Michigan State Spartans in one of the semi-final games as the reigning champion Florida State Seminoles are projected to do battle against the Oklahoma Sooners in the other. That is damn fine company Brando is putting UCLA in.

These are very bold predictions indeed, but are they sound? UCLA Head Coach Jim Mora has not only had the Bruins heading in the right direction, but doing it as a force to be reckoned with. The Bruins will not only be an offensive threat behind Heisman hopeful Brett Hundley, but could possibly sport the best defense in not only the Pac-12, but the entire country.
