College football is over two months away, but that has not stopped several information outlets from breaking down every facet of the up-coming 2014 season (including us). Mel Kiper of ESPN has been releasing several of his Top 5 lists via College GameDay’s Twitter and this week, he listed his Top 5 Underclassmen Quarterbacks in the nation (yes, there are six, but just go with it). UCLA’s Brett Hundley made the list at #3.

Compare that to the company these players will have with his Top 5 Senior Quarterbacks:

If you counted correctly, that is five Pac-12 quarterbacks of the eleven he listed: Hundley, Marcus Mariota (Oregon), Kevin Hogan (Stanford), Sean Mannion (Oregon State) and Taylor Kelly (Arizona State). Talk about some great competition in the Pac-12. In comparison, the SEC only has one quarterback listed: Connor Cook of Alabama. This already shows that the Pac-12 has an edge in talent on the SEC.

Only 77 more days until Bruin football and it cannot get here quick enough.
